About Me

Biologist and Photographer

I study how ants are affected by climate change and urbanization, maintain field experiments, collaborate with scientists and non-scientists alike on exciting citizen science projects, wrangle large datasets, ponder ways to visualize data effectively, and photograph small fascinating creatures and the people who study them

I am particularly interested in science education, promoting scientifically informed citizens, and more generally, infusing others with a sense of awe at the wonders of the biological world.

Most of this is part of my work in the Dunn lab and Your Wild Life at NC State University
